A special moment in my lifeee (:

So this weeks blog topic is 'a special moment in your life'.

There a few special moments in my life but the one that stands out the most would have to be my 12 retreat. All the things that occurred on the retreat that made it so special and a memory that is unforgettable.

The retreat itself had its ups and downs but together as a year group we all got through it! The different activities that took place was something that was very important, there was this main activity; it was when we received a letter from home. That would have been the highlight for myself. Been on camp for 5 days and no contact with the family what so ever was quite hard but I guess that is camping. knowing that I had a letter from them was the best thing on earth. :)

During camp we all knew that we had a letter from home but never knew what was in it and when we were going to get it. It was the 4th day at camp and everyone was just exhausted and not happy due to the food and just creepy little things happening over the pass day. When we got told about recieving the letters, the whole room was filled with happiness and you could see every ones faces lighting up as they just wanted to read it. It was about 12 o'clock and everyone is sitting eating lunch wondering when we will be getting the letters. As lunch finished we had to go into out groups and there it was the letters for each and every one of us, waiting to be read. We got into our groups and our leader gave us our letters. Allowed us to spread around and read our messages. I have to say it was quite an emotional day.

Once I got my letter, I was so excited to read it. This was some really special to me because I come from an Asian background, my parents don't really expression there feelings to me about anything. most of the time its just yelling and nagging. Another thing that made this letter so special was that it allowed me to see how everyone in my family thought about me. When I started to read the letter, I just started to cry because of the things that were said in it. The words that I never thought I would heard from my parents and especially my brothers. It was very touching and it meant a lot of you :)

I actually would like to share it to everyone.

Dear Natalie,

Twelve years of school has now nearly come to an end. Through these long hard years you've done an amazing, wonderful and brilliant job. you've come from a long way and have fought your hardest and the awards are gonna pay off later down the road. Just wanna let you know that you have always had our support and always will. I also want to remind you some of many good memories of you within your twelve years at school. Remember how mum and dad couldn't help you with your homework in year one I think and in class you  didn't have the answer and cried? and the time when mum and dad didn't sign your note to go on an excursion and you also cried because you couldn't go and had to stay back at school by yourself? Hope this reminds you how far you've come from.

Never thought I'd say this (Minh and Andy - two brothers) but your now a mature, gorgeous, beautiful intelligent girl (always have been) and able to work not only with others but also independently and you are always finding out solutions to anything which will help you later on in life. Also like to tell you no matter what happens this year, you've done an incredible job and have been a great role model to us. Doesn't matter what pathway you go to either uni or tafe we're sure you will succeed as long as you keep your head up high, work hard and enjoy what you do. you have our full support and just keep in mind and recognise mum and dads hard work to get you where you are now. Back to where we were before, we your family all have faith .hope and believe that you can make it through this year and in the future.

Yours Faithfully,
Mum, Dad, Minh and Andy

xoxo

Why blog???

What’s the purpose of blogging in PR people would ask, the following will answer that question.

Well, blogging in the PR industry is a good way of communicating with one another, as it is for free but also you are getting your messages and opinions out to the public. PR is all about communication and building relationships, it also helps companies and people to get there name out into the world and allows people to know about them and what they do.

In PR, another important aspect is networking. The more connections you have, the better it is. There’s this saying "It's not what you know, it's who you know." As we all know the Internet and all social media is a great way of networking. There are so many things that can be done, once you have that connection you have made. So this is where blogging comes in, as it’s not just about a good looking blog site but the quality of information that is in it and if the information is relevant or not. This will determine whether or not the blog you have created has put its message across to people or not.

The following is a website I found that was quite interesting and I just wanted to share (: so enjoy:
